Our Work

Above all, concise and creative storytelling is at the forefront of our work, we take often challenging or complex narratives and break these down into digestible and high quality films.

Fathom was commissioned in late 2025 to produce a series of short films following an Oceana campaign researching how offshore oil and gas extraction may be having a negative effect on ocean wildlife.

Working closely with both the Oceana and CSIP(ZSL) teams, Fathom constructed scripts designed to make this complex science social media friendly

Fathoms debut feature documentary following Britain’s only resident killer whale population, the West Coast Community.

After years of decline and no calves being born, the death of Lulu—the last known female—in 2016 marked a turning point.

The film explores humanity’s relationship with the natural world and highlights our responsibility to protect life in our oceans.

John Coe & Aquarius (Working Title)

This film is currently in production, with completion planned for 2026. The teaser is not publicly available but can be shared upon request. Produced as an independent feature documentary, the film is being crafted with care and intention, striving for the highest production values throughout.

Project Earth is an organisation that connects some of the brightest young minds with leading experts to bring bold ideas to life—ideas designed to benefit the environment.

Our concept was to celebrate the remarkable work these young people have achieved, deliberately withholding their ages until the final reveal.

Fathom was commissioned to produce a fast-turnaround film to showcase Project Earth at a UK Government environmental conference in 2025.

Freelance work

In 2023, George was commissioned to produce, direct, and shoot a one-off documentary for Little Bird Films in collaboration with BBC Three and BBC Wales.

The film follows the journey of the Welsh National Cheerleading Adaptive Abilities Team—an inspiring group of young cheerleaders from across Wales, made up of both disabled and non-disabled athletes. Made through a fully inclusive filmmaking process, the contributors were actively involved throughout production, helping to shape the story being told.

The film went on to win a Celtic Media Festival Award and received nominations from both the Grierson Awards and BAFTA Cymru.
